What is astrology?
Astrology is the language of planetary cycles. It is a tool that can be utilized in infinite ways. My practice focuses on astrology as a tool for self-discovery and self-empathy.
What kind of reading should I get?
There are many different types of reading beyond just a basic birth chart reading. Take a look through my offerings page to see some of the types of readings I specialize in. If you are interested in specific insight that doesn’t seem to fit in any of those categories, shoot me an email and we can discuss how we can collaborate to meet your intentions.
What happens during a reading?
Each reading is an individual experience. But generally, we talk through the astrology of the chart we are working with. It is a mixture of dialogue and my astrological insight. For a full 60 minute reading, I will record our session via Zoom and send it to you following our reading. But I always suggest you take some notes for yourself, as what resonates with you most tends to be the most important information.

Can I purchase a reading as a gift for something?
Absolutely. Send me an email and we can conspire to offer a thoughtful and intentional gift.
Something came up, can I reschedule our reading?
Yes, I would appreciate 24 hours in advance for a reschedule, but I understand that things happen. Cancelations are non-refundable less than 24 hours in advance. For the rest of my policies, look below.

POLICIES
- Payment: Payment must be completely in full 24 hours before we meet for our session
- Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, please do so more than 24 hours before our session.
- Refund: If something comes up and you are no longer interested in your scheduled reading. You may receive a refund up to 24 hours before our session.
- Late policy: Our session begins at our scheduled time and I want to make sure we have the time to approach the reading without feeling rushed or pressed. I will ask that we reschedule if you are more than 5 minutes late our session.

SETTING EXPECTATIONS: WHAT ASTROLOGY IS AND IS NOT
The nature of the service is an astrological reading. Astrology is an ancient spiritual tool. Using symbolic imagery, Astrology and an Astrologer is similar to a guide. Astrology is not the future prediction, rather, a tool for understanding our human experience. Astrology is an awareness practice, and depends on our free will.
An astrologer is not a licensed physician, psychologist, counselor, or mental health professional. Astrological readings should never be used in place of professional help. Any information received from any and all communication or consultations with myself, and/or via my website or third party referrals is for educational, spiritual, inspirational and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to, nor should it ever, take the place of any medical, legal, financial, psychological, or any other professional advice.
Actions and decisions based on the provided information are of one's own personal responsibility and choice. Services are not a substitute for professional services and it is advised that one should seek advice from a relevant qualified expert. Participation in astrological services, holds an implicit agreement to hold completely blameless and absolutely indemnify, Your Astrologer Friend, from any and all possible losses, liabilities and/or damages that may arise from the use of services or communications. The practice of astrology does not require licensing by the state of Illinois.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality & privacy are of the utmost importance. As standard practice, astrological readings will be kept in strict confidence unless circumstances permit or legally require disclosure. In other words, Your Astrologer Friend will not disclose your name, personally identifiable information, birth information, or details of your session. Only in the case where very extreme circumstances exist where an exception must be made. For example, if there is reason to believe that you may be an imminent risk of harm to yourself or to others it may require disclosure of relevant details to a potential third party on a need to know basis.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I acknowledge and agree that I voluntarily engage the Astrologer to provide an astrological reading.
I acknowledge and agree that the Astrologer is someone who offers a perspective or opinion based on a thorough analysis of astrological charts, birth data, and consultation.
I acknowledge and agree that during my session the Astrologer will rely on information provided by me and I affirm that all information provided to the Astrologer is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief.
I acknowledge and agree that astrological readings should never be used in place of professional counseling.
I acknowledge and agree that my astrological reading does not constitute legal, medical, business, or financial advice.
I acknowledge and agree that in certain jurisdictions, a reader engaged in practices that legally fall under the scope of “fortune telling or divination” is required to disclose that such readings should be for entertainment purposes only.
By participating in an astrology consultation with Your Astrologer Friend, I have carefully read and reviewed this Acknowledgment and Consent in its entirety. I fully understand it and I freely accept the nature of the services outlined here.
